Ministral 3 was released by Mistral on December 2, 2025, as an open-weights lightweight model in the Ministral line.
Ministral 3 comes in 3B, 8B and 14B sizes, each with base, instruct and reasoning versions that understand images, all under Apache 2.0, while Ministral 8B's weights were released for research use under the Mistral Research License.
